Now that the Edublogs PLN Teacher Challenge is over, whew! What a relief!
But now looking back, I am feeling much better about the experience. Instead of trying to do it all, I am deciding to just focus on a few things and from there keep branching out.
My last blog definitely reflected my frustration at feeling overwhelmed. That is past me and my current focus feels much better.

Perplexed!
Hmmm! For the month of October I have been participating in the Edublogs-PLN Teacher Challenge.
In reflecting the time I have invested it has indeed been beneficial because I have been exposed to lots of new resources with the goal of becoming a connected educator. But on the other hand, I am feeling somewhat perplexed and overwhelmed.
In sorting things out, my gut is telling me that I need to slow down and focus on one or two things and then continue to build from there. My decision is that I'll hone in on Twitter, Scoop-It!, Pinterest, and BAM Radio for now.
Just sitting down and writing about this has helped clarify my thinking. Whew! I feel better already!

What's Up?
Time has flown by since I began learning about becoming a connected educator and tried my hand at setting up a blog!
Since last year I have worked little by little to build my Personal Learning Network based on a technology class I worked through via Atomic Learning. It was called The Social and Interactive Web 2.0.
It feels like I have learned a lot since then and yet at the same time, it feels like I have such a long way to go. But this year I have embedded what I have learned so far into the professional development for the Pre-K teachers in our district.
The great news I recently received was that our PK teachers will be able to get their 3 hours of non-duty technology credit for building their PLNs and showcasing how they have used what they have learned in their classrooms. In addition, they will complete a reflection piece to top off their requirements for the credit.

Moving On
Wow! Time has flown by since I began this blog. Since then I have learned a lot. My impetus for learning was taking an Atomic Learning course for my technology credit in Richardson ISD. The course was titled: The Social and Interactive Web: Today's Web 2.0.
I learned so much about building my personal learning network online-my PLN, that I am incorporating what I learned into the professional development for our Pre-K teachers in RISD. They are going to build their own PLNS. I am excitedly anticipating where this will take each PK teacher.
I love how it is going to provide them with their own individualized learning plan (IEP).
